TENCANPLANETARY BALL MILLS

Activated carbon: a recorded thirty-minute 200-mesh outcome.

Activated carbon: a recorded thirty-minute 200-mesh outcome. Meet the stated 200-mesh requirement.

Sample assessment

The feed was granular activated carbon. Its source, pore structure and initial particle dimensions were not supplied.

Analyst consideration: For activated carbon, particle-size preparation and retention of the properties needed in use are separate questions. A finer mesh result does not by itself establish preserved porosity or adsorption performance.

Recorded objective

Meet the stated 200-mesh requirement.

Equipment and selection

The machine entry is XQM-2. TENCAN Vertical square planetary ball mill is associated at the recorded series level. No exact housing variant is inferred from jar capacity or an abbreviated machine label.

Test setup

Jar entryCorundum500
Media entryZirconia 500
Media-charge notation352 (unit not stated)
Sample-load entry120 (unit not stated)
Controller speed setting550
Cycle notation5/1

Unlabelled jar, media and load numbers remain source notation, not assigned units. Controller settings are not certified rpm. The cycle notation has no independently stated timing unit or reversing definition.

Recorded procedure and results

A corundum jar and zirconia media were recorded with controller setting 550. After thirty minutes the material was described as very fine, and the result column gives 200 mesh. No passing percentage, distribution percentiles, surface-area measurement or adsorption result was included.

Interpretation

The result supports a reported short-duration fineness outcome. It does not show that milling preserved adsorption performance or that every particle passed an identified sieve aperture. No universal activated-carbon milling time is implied.

Practical precautions

Confirm the sieve standard and actual media charge. Evaluate the properties relevant to the intended activated-carbon use independently of the recorded visual and mesh assessments.

TENCAN alternatives to evaluate

TENCAN Laboratory Full-Directional Planetary Ball Mill. For this activated carbon, tumbling can be compared at thirty minutes with the same sieve check. Evaluate adsorption properties separately if they matter to the intended use. Tumbling provides a bed-redistribution comparison for the granular carbon, with recovery and the same short sieve check used to assess whether altered motion changes the preparation. This is an untested comparison proposal, not a result of this trial.

Association follows the explicit XQM-2 source entry; only recorded tested series/configurations are related. No jar-volume inference.
