TENCANPLANETARY BALL MILLS

Lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide: a ninety-minute tactile endpoint.

Lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide: a ninety-minute tactile endpoint. Obtain material with no perceptible grains under the recorded tactile check.

Sample assessment

The feed was large pieces of lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide. The record does not supply stoichiometry, electrode performance or a starting distribution.

Analyst consideration: For this battery oxide, the tactile endpoint concerns perceptible grains rather than a full distribution or functional performance. Contact contamination and preservation of the intended material structure remain separate selection considerations.

Recorded objective

Obtain material with no perceptible grains under the recorded tactile check.

Equipment and selection

The machine entry is QXQM. TENCAN Laboratory Full-Directional Planetary Ball Mill is associated at the recorded series level. A horizontal operating mode, where mentioned, does not change the recorded QXQM family into WXQM.

Test setup

Jar entryAgate jar
Media entryZirconia balls
Media-charge notationStandard charge; individual specification not recorded
Sample-load entry46g
Controller speed setting350
Cycle notation5/1

Unlabelled jar, media and load numbers remain source notation, not assigned units. Controller settings are not certified rpm. The cycle notation has no independently stated timing unit or reversing definition.

Recorded procedure and results

The material was first broken with a hammer, then dry milled on a QXQM machine using an agate jar and zirconia media. The charge was 46 g and the controller setting was 350. Operation was normal at thirty minutes. At ninety minutes the procedure records no grains perceptible by touch, matching the stated objective.

Interpretation

This is a positive sensory endpoint after pre-breaking and planetary milling. It is not a measured particle-size distribution and cannot establish electrochemical performance or an all-particle micrometre limit.

Practical precautions

Retain the pre-breaking stage and define a documented observation method. Add appropriate instrumental size and contamination checks before using the powder in an application that requires them.

TENCAN alternatives to evaluate

TENCAN Vertical square planetary ball mill. A conventional vertical setup can compare the pre-broken lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide. Retain the ninety-minute tactile check while adding analytical evidence for any stronger fineness claim. A conventional vertical platform removes the additional QXQM tumbling motion, creating a specific comparison of fragment redistribution after the same pre-breaking step. This is an untested comparison proposal, not a result of this trial.

Association follows the explicit QXQM source entry; only recorded tested series/configurations are related. No jar-volume inference.
