Sample assessment
The mushroom-based blend combines an organic powder with two alkaline ingredients. Its mixed-product distribution cannot be directly equated to either measured feed alone. The laboratory test record documents this preparation only; applying the method to another batch requires a matched trial.
Recorded objective
Dry-mix the three components for 1 hour.
Equipment and selection
The recorded planetary machine is XQM. The corresponding TENCAN family is the Vertical square planetary ball mill. The jar volume identifies the test container and does not establish an exact machine variant or production capacity. Equipment association follows the recorded machine designation.
Test setup
| Recorded planetary machine | XQM |
|---|---|
| Documented setup | 500 mL zirconia jar with standard zirconia balls; mushroom powder 100 g, sodium hydroxide 10 g and calcium hydroxide 10 g; speed setting 400. |
| Recorded operating cycle | Run 12 / pause 3; units not stated in mode field |
Speed values are reproduced as recorded settings. A rotational unit and planetary-disc versus jar-speed basis are not stated, so these numbers are not labelled rpm.
Recorded procedure and results
The mushroom feed measured D50 = 28.29 µm and D90 = 86.49 µm. The calcium-hydroxide feed measured D50 = 10 µm and D90 = 27.86 µm. The three-component mixture was processed dry for 1 hour. Its sample measured D50 = 26.95 µm and D90 = 80.83 µm.
Interpretation
The measured mixture endpoint documents the outcome of this preparation. It is not a direct before-and-after distribution for one unchanged material because the measured feed and product have different compositions. No uniformity or reaction measurement is supplied.
Practical precautions
Keep the component ratio fixed and account for moisture uptake when repeating the blend. Assess chemical compatibility and containment for the alkaline ingredients, and use an independent composition test if uniform blending must be demonstrated.
TENCAN alternatives to evaluate
For follow-up comparison, consider the TENCAN Laboratory Full-Directional Planetary Ball Mill. For mushroom powder, sodium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide, a matched QXQM trial can test whether changing orientation affects the mixed powder distribution without changing the alkaline ratio. Keep sample mass, media and sampling times controlled. This is a proposed comparison; the test record does not demonstrate a superior result for that alternative. Confirm jar compatibility and the permitted complete loaded mass before selecting a configuration.
Procedure records XQM; related product is the corresponding tested machine family. Exact variant is not inferred from jar size.
