TENCANPLANETARY BALL MILLS

Silver powder wet planetary milling: a recorded 500-mesh endpoint at sixteen hours.

Silver powder wet planetary milling: a recorded 500-mesh endpoint at sixteen hours. Meet the stated 500-mesh requirement.

Sample assessment

The sample was silver powder without a starting particle-size distribution or purity requirement. The trial used a corundum jar and zirconia media.

Analyst consideration: For a metal powder such as silver, deformation and agglomeration can compete with fragmentation. A useful repeat would assess morphology and recovery alongside the reported mesh endpoint.

Recorded objective

Meet the stated 500-mesh requirement.

Equipment and selection

The machine entry is XQM. TENCAN Vertical square planetary ball mill is associated at the recorded series level. No exact housing variant is inferred from jar capacity or an abbreviated machine label.

Test setup

Jar entryCorundum250
Media entryZirconia 300
Media-charge notation5-125/8-65/10-60/12-28/15-22/
Sample-load entry20 (unit not stated)
Controller speed setting300
Cycle notation5/1

Unlabelled jar, media and load numbers remain source notation, not assigned units. Controller settings are not certified rpm. The cycle notation has no independently stated timing unit or reversing definition.

Recorded procedure and results

Water, 24 g, was added. Samples were taken at eight hours and sixteen hours. At the sixteen-hour stage the procedure records achievement of 500 mesh and termination of the trial. No D50, D90, sieve recovery or temperature sequence was given.

Interpretation

The source supports a reported sixteen-hour mesh endpoint and a defined stop decision. It does not supply the eight-hour size, so the reduction between samples cannot be calculated. No conversion to an absolute micrometre maximum is made.

Practical precautions

Confirm the mesh standard and actual acceptance procedure. For another silver grade, compare morphology, recovered mass and contamination as well as the selected fineness measurement.

TENCAN alternatives to evaluate

TENCAN Laboratory Full-Directional Planetary Ball Mill. For the long silver-powder suspension, tumbling can be compared for material redistribution. Keep the 24 g water addition and distinct eight- and sixteen-hour sampling points. Assembly tumbling provides a redistribution comparison over the long wet sequence, so the question is whether powder and media continue to circulate consistently rather than whether extra motion guarantees fracture. This is an untested comparison proposal, not a result of this trial.

Association follows the explicit XQM source entry; only recorded tested series/configurations are related. No jar-volume inference.
